"Schools have been built and worked on, banks are in the process, water is being treated for drinking, local clinics are being upgraded and people are being provided jobs. You can actually see hope in the peoples eyes as we mingle among them during the days we spend here. The children are the true sign of hope. They are out now in full scale going to school and lining the road as convoys pass by. They wave, smile and hold out their hands for candy, stuffed animals, and pens. We have begun a playground project and if you could see them play, it would bring anyone to their knees. They are the future of this country and they and the people are beginning to choose freedom over the insurgents by working closely with us."
